I have designed and stitched
an American Flag in an oval shape that can be worn as a
pin, brooch or made into a scissor tassel. I'm hoping that
stitchers all across this country will make themselves one
to show their solidarity for our country and the belief
that America and the strength of its people will prevail.
The design is worked on
18 mesh canvas and the model is stitched in silks, metallics
and Neon Rays, but you may use the threads of your choice.
This design, and stitch guide, is free to all stitchers
and shop owners. You may print and share this design with
your friends or customers.
This design is my gift
to stitchers everywhere. If you feel like you need to do
something in appreciation, please make a donation to your
local fire or police department in memory of those lost
in the senseless tragedy. These men and women risk their
lives on a daily basis to ensure our safety and protection.
I am grateful for what they do in my community, but saddened
that they are lost to the citizens of New York and Washington,
and especially to their families who loved them.
