You're Special The newest in the bobble head series celebrates someone special or a special occasion Ever day in our lives an occasion arises when it would just be nice to remind someone just how special they are. It could be a birthday, anniversary, graduation, an “A” on a report card, Grandchildren coming for a visit or an occasion when someone deserves a little hug and a smile. In my house, it will be set out when someone other than ME takes out the trash or maybe washes my car??? I’ve stitched the model with the wording “YOU'RE SPECIAL” but the design is a available in other wording: You’re Special Custom wording also available as a special order The design stands 16 inches tall and 8 inches across the base. The design is line drawn on 18 mesh canvas and includes the two canvases (base and balloons), 10 inch painted pole, bead packet (Swarovski jewels 3MM and 5MM, bugle beads, #14 beads and beading wire) and stitch guide with material list and color photographs. “A TOUCH OF AUTUMN” CANDLE HOLDER
“A Touch of Autumn” is a collage of autumn colored leaves and foliage bound with a metallic band. The finished design is drawn on 18 mesh sandstone canvas and measures 8 x 10.5. The design includes a stitch guide with material list and color photograph. The finished piece can be used as a tray insert or set into a mitered pillow for a touch of fall color in your home.

Once the holder has been assembled, you can customize it to suit your home or your needs. By turning the candle ring over it will hold a three inch no-drip pillar candle, a chimney from a kerosene lamp, a hurricane chimney found at Michael’s Crafts or a vase with a three inch base which shows a real candle burning without any fear of candle wax dripping. This configuration could also be used as a table centerpiece with a floral arrangement in the vase.
Roly Poly Santa A perfect piece to use your left over threads and favorite stitches. The Roly-Poly Santa is hand painted on 18 mesh canvas and stands 5 x 8 and suitable as a stand-up or ornament. My original idea was to stand him up in a crystal bowl surrounded by wrapped peppermint candies as a holiday decoration and treat for my guests.
Trick or Treat After numerous requests, the popular side of the Halloween Music Box has been hand-painted with the addition of a dotted border. Design measures 6 inches square and would be a terrific insert into a mitered pillow.
Oh Happy Days Oh Happy Days. The third in the “bobble” series featuring a very happy bunny jumping for joy over a field of Viola’s and decorated eggs. The bunny is connected to the base with a silk carnation. Both pieces are drawn, in colors, on French Blue canvas and include the hand drawn canvases, hand-painted butterfly and complete stitch guide with photograph. Finished piece stands approximately 14 inches tall depending on placement of the carnation stem.
(click on image for a detailed view!) Old Glory The fourth in the “bobble series”, celebrates the image of America, its traditions and the many reasons to celebrate our pride. The Uncle Sam hat supports two decorated rockets ringed by five stars each representing ten states. Atop the image is a star-shaped flag attached to the base with a golden flagpole. An optional music box, which plays “The Star Spangled Banner” is inserted in the back of the stand-up base. The finished Design stands approximately 12 inches high and is drawn on 18 mesh canvas and includes the star, base, stitch guide and gold pole. Music box can be ordered separately.
Summer Candle The Summer Candle – The fourth season in the candle series depicts an array of underwater plants, coral, shells and fish with the top depicting an island in the sea. The design is drawn in colors on 18 mesh French Blue canvas and includes the canvas, stitch guide, three hand-painted fish and battery powered candle. The candle holder is not included. The one shown in the model was purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond, but any pillar candle holder would be suitable.
Santa and His Reindeer The popular top to Reason for the Season has been hand-painted on blue canvas and available as a separate piece. This design doesn’t come with a stitch guide, allowing you to use your favorite stitches and left-over threads from previous projects. The finished design measures 4 x 7 and is painted on 18 mesh canvas and can be finished as an ornament, door hanger or pillow insert.
Two of my original designs are making a comeback. The Snow-Capped Heart has been popular since first introduced in 1997, but discontinued in 2001 but recently brought it back for a fund-raiser and realized that it was still popular. The hand-painted design is painted on 18 mesh canvas and includes a stitch guide. The flutes in the heart, which measures 4 inches long, are padded which gives the finished design a very dimensional appearance. A wonderful gift for someone special in your life, to celebrate a special occasion or just a reminder that even if there is snow on the roof there’s love in the heart. The Tree in a Pot was discontinued when I couldn’t find the pots any longer. Fortunately, I recently found a source and am excited to bring back the tree ornament. The design is hand-painted on 18 mesh canvas and measures 6 inches tall. It comes with the canvas, stitch guide and terra cotta pot. The stitch guide teaches you how to use the same Watercolour thread but use it to create the patchwork effect shown in the picture. |
