Topiary Designs
In this series, each month
of the calendar is represented with a different topiary
design. Each design can be finished as a table top easel
and changed as the months change. The designs are finished
with a hard back, slight puff front and trimmed in appropriate
cording to compliment the design. They can also be finished
as a bell pull using only those months appropriate for
those special dates or members of your family. This
would be a terrific gift for Mother's Day - one topiary
for each child!
New designs will be released
as inspiration hits, and not in monthly sequence.

February Topiary
The February Topiary features
two heart shaped topiaries sitting side by side and symbolic
of the loved shared by two people. The border is delicate
in its lace scalloped edging but dramatic with its embossed
metallic hearts. The smaller topiary sits in a silver pot
wrapped in cellophane, the perfect gift for that special
person. The design measures 4 x 5 1/2 and is line drawn
on 18 mesh canvas. The design includes the instructions,
color photograph, material list and the violet cellophane.

April Topiary
The April Topiary
depicts April showers with a bounty of flowers and shrubs
to be planted for the spring growing season. Design is line
drawn on 18 mesh and measure 4 x 5 1/2 and includes the
stitch guide and silver trowel. |

July Topiary
The July Topiary features
a garden setting blooming with patriotic colors. Red and
white roses adorn the topiary and trellis and a pot of blue
Larkspur sits nearby. The design is line drawn on 18 mesh
canvas and includes stitch guide. Finished design is 4 x
5 1/2 and uses silk ribbon, silk floss, metallic and novelty
threads.
Your own addition to the design could be one of those small
paper American flags that can be stuck into the topiary
planter or a flag pin hanging from the trellis. The flag

August Topiary
The August Topiary features a
dolphin shaped topiary which sits on top a seawall surrounded
by images of summer, a seashell wind chime, sand, sea and
a brilliant summer sunset as the background. The finished
design measures 4 x 5 1/2 and includes the line drawn canvas,
instructions with color photo and hedge trimmers. |

September Topiary
The September Topiary honors
our teachers and the children's return to school! The
design incorporates a non-traditional use of Trebizond
Silk to create a topiary sitting next to the proverbial
apple on the teachers desk. The design comes line drawn
on 18 mesh canvas and includes the instructions and tin
apple button. Materials used are overdyed threads, metallic
Braid, Pearl Cotton and Floss. Finished design measures
4 x 5 1/2 and suitable to sit on a tabletop easel.

October Topiary
The October Topiary features images of Halloween,
measures 4 x 5 1/2 inches and is line drawn on 18 mesh
canvas. The design includes a stitch guide, enameled pumpkin
button and raffia for the basket planter.

December Topiary
The December Topiary
is a living pine tree sitting in a terra cotta pot. Decorating
the edge of the design is a garland of greenery wrapped
in metallic braid. Adding to a country look, the tree
is draped in garlands of red beads. Packages wrapped in
metallic complete the festive scene. Design comes line
drawn on 18-mesh canvas and includes the instructions,
finished photograph and red beads. Finished design measures
4 x 5 ½ and uses Pearl 8, Metallic Ribbon Floss,
Fuzzy Stuff, Metallic Braid and Floss.
