Nancy Heinrich

Nancy has done me proud with her blue
ribbon winner at the Channel Island
Stitcher's Faire. Nancy is a regular in my classes at Weaver's
Needle &
Frame and took the house class when it was offered as a
four-day class.
Since she lives in a mobile home, we customized her house
to fit with the
exterior of her mobile home. She not only eliminated the
planters and added
terra cotta pots with an array of flower techniques, she
then added small
lamps in her windows as she has in her own home. Congratulations
Nancy!!

The kites were stitched
by Lyn Stager who lives in Chapel Hill, NC. They were
stitched for her daughter Julie Moylton and grandson Damian.
Damian is Lyn's only Grandchild and the light of her life.
Both kites were finished through Fireside Stitchery in
Frazer, PA.

September Topiary

From Donna:
This piece was stitched in memory of my mother's sister, who
was an elementary teacher and pianist. I gave the piece to my
mother. The design was stitched according to David's stitch
guide, except for the bookcase shelf area that originally contained
a stitched silver bell. The piece was framed with a green mat
matching the topiary and a black wood frame. In the framed picture,
the stitched piece took up half the area, and I put a remembrance
prayer card on the other half.
I thought you'd like to see how it all turned out, so I've attached
a photo of it. On the back, I put a label with your name as
designer and mine as the stitcher, along with some family details.
The Four Seasons
Fay Haverly

Fay has submitted a picture of all four seasons
framed in one large frame. Fay says in her note:
"The framer put a 'seasonal' mat around each canvas which
really added to the piece. The hanging graces my dining room wall
and I love it. Your work has captured me and I look forward to
more designs from you. Thank you for enriching my life."
I think Fay has enriched my life and did me proud!

Sherry changed the colors to match her room
and added a seahorse, scallop shell and starfish to one
of the ribbons. Sherry says: "From first stitch to
last, it was a total joy to stitch! It was also the first
stitch-guided piece I ever tried. Beware, now I'm hooked
and am in the process of stitching the other 3 seasons!"
