Winter Candle

Winter, the second offering in the candle series. Each candle stands five inches tall by three inches around and includes the drawn canvas, stitch guide, bugle beads for the snowflakes and the battery powered candle flame (batteries not included). Winter uses a variety of threads and stitches to create an assortment of winter foliage held in place with a royal purple ribbon trimmed in gold. The background is an icy white silk carried with Accentuate for a subtle sparkle of snow. Red onyx and Mother-of-Pearl beads enhance the sprigs of holly and mistletoe.

Candle holder not included. The one pictured is from Waterford Crystal but any glass, porcelain or silver holder that compliments your home would look just as attractive.

Spring Candle

The third in a series of four candles depicting images from each season. Spring, stands five inches tall, three inches around and includes the drawn canvas, stitch guide and battery powered candle flame which uses a AA battery (Battery not included). The floral theme depicts an abstract design of two of my favorite flowers, tulips and carnations. The tulips are stitched in shades of coral utilizing some interesting composite stitches and the carnations are worked in a dimensional technique which has many different applications in other stitching projects.  The background is a couched honeycomb pattern which compliments the hand-painted gold bumble bees, which can be ordered separately, or customize your candle by substituting the bees for dragonflies, lady bugs or butterflies. 

Candle holder not included. I found the one pictured at Burlington Coat Factory, stuck away on a shelf, but any glass, porcelain or silver holder that compliments your home would look just as attractive.

Summer Candle

The Summer Candle – The fourth season in the candle series depicts an array of underwater plants, coral, shells and fish with the top depicting an island in the sea.  The design is drawn in colors on 18 mesh French Blue canvas and includes the canvas, stitch guide, three hand-painted fish and battery powered candle.

The candle holder is not included.  The one shown in the model was purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond, but any pillar candle holder would be suitable.

Autumn Candle

The newest in a series of four candles depicting images from each season. The finished candle can be displayed on a table top candle holder as the bronze colored iron stand depicted in the picture above. Each candle stands five inches tall, three inches around and include the drawn canvas, which are drawn in the appropriate color for easier understanding and placement of the stitches, stitch guide and battery powered candle flame which uses a AA battery (Battery not included). Autumn is adorned with a selection of autumn colored leaves and acorns against a pale green background with candle wax dripping down the sides of the candle. The top has a cut-out opening which holds the candle flame.

Candle holder shown is not included. The one pictured came from Mervyn's, but any wooden, porcelain or brass candle holder that compliments your home would look just as attractive.

$81.00 “A TOUCH OF AUTUMN” CANDLE HOLDER (click on any image below for a detailed view!) “A Touch of Autumn” is a collage of autumn colored leaves and foliage bound with a metallic band.  The finished design is drawn on 18 mesh sandstone canvas and measures 8 x 10.5.  The design includes a stitch guide with material list and color photograph.  The finished piece can be used as a tray insert or set into a mitered pillow for a touch of fall color in your home. Since I am one that has no wall space for a picture or live in fear that my dogs will use my pillows as play toys or beds, I opted for a table top decoration. The finished design fits on a wooden base, topped with a candle ring which holds a glass chimney compatible with my home and will sit on a sideboard in my dining room.  I’m using a clear glass votive cup and candle inside the chimney. Glass chimney available from any lamp outfitter. The accessory pack, comes with the candle ring, which is painted in a multi-colored textured gold, wood base, unfinished or painted to match the ring and a mirror for the top of  the candle holder.  The base of the model was stained using MINWAX red oak stain and a Polyurethane clear satin finish. Accessory Pack (pick one) with Canvas Clear Wood - $103.00 Painted Textured Gold - $108.00 Once the holder has been assembled, you can customize it to suit your home or your needs.  By turning the candle ring over it will hold a three inch no-drip pillar candle, a chimney from a kerosene lamp, a hurricane chimney found at Michael’s Crafts or a vase with a three inch base which shows a real candle burning without any fear of candle wax dripping.  This configuration could also be used as a table centerpiece with a floral arrangement in the vase.
